Co-hosted by Sino-US Food and Agriculture Innovation Center and Shouguang Municipal Government, the Sino-US International Agro-biological Technology Exchange and Business Negotiation Conference was convened in Weifang recently. International experts represented by Roger Beachy (Member of U.S. Academy of Sciences), Liu Xuemei (President of Ireland MicroGen Bio-technology Co.,Ltd.), Bob Neidermyer (Director of Plant and Soil Sciences from Holganix) and his team as well as domestic experts represented by Xu Yong (Director of National Engineering Center For Vegetables), Lin Dasong (Deputy Research Fellow of Agro-environmental Protection Institute, Ministry of Agriculture), Li Chengliang (Vice Dean of Resources and Environment College, Shandong Agricultural University) and Liu Yutao (Associate Professor of Nanjing Agricultural University), etc. participated the conference. Besides, enterprises represented by Qingdao Golden Mama Seeds Company, Jiangxi Huawei Technology Co.,Ltd., Shandong Rainbrow Agriculture Polytron Technologies Inc. were also present at the conference.

a local demonstration base of facility vegetable greenhouses and National Engineering Research Center for Vegetables. Liu Wei, Vice Mayor of Shouguang attended the conference and gave a great speech.
In the conference, Liu Xuemei, President of Ireland MicroGen Bio-technology Co.,Ltd. presents the intelligently guided-functional microbiomes technology of her company through which microorganisms will be selected from the soil and plants and used to improve the soil environment.
The responsible person of Holganix introduces their microbial products with functions of better utilization rate of fertilizers, converting inorganic fertilizers to fertilizers better absorbed by the soil, yield increase and environmental-friendliness.
Later, Dr. Xu Yong (Director of National Engineering Research Center for Vegetables), Lin Dasong (Deputy Research Fellow of Agro-environmental Protection Institute, Ministry of Agriculture) and Li Chengliang (Vice Dean of Resources and Environment College, Shandong Agricultural University) made great academic presentations successively on their respective research areas. Participates and the reporters had a heated discussion on academic issues of common concern.
The conference will play an active role in promoting academic exchanges in the field of agro-biotechnology and strengthening communication and cooperation among research institutions. Moreover, it will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation between China and the United States in the field of agricultural biotechnology, promote and improve research level and industrialization degree of both countries regarding agro-biotechnology and provide optimal solutions to the soil problems in the vegetable greenhouses and fields of Shouguang City.
