Accompanied by Ji Wei, Director of Sino-US Food and Agriculture Innovation Center (SUFAIC), Liu Wei, Vice Mayor of Shouguang and Chen Yongzhi, member of party group of Shouguang Bureau of Agriculture, they inspected the implementation of fertigation technology before holding a discussion with local growers concerned.
The experts first paid a field visit to the demonstration greenhouses of Shouguang Shengda Water-saving Technology Co.,Ltd and exchanged views with the company on site on topics, such as the cost and application of fertigation equipment and cultivation on soil. As another outcome of the visit, the two sides also intended to work together in farmer training and education. SUFAIC and UC Davis are expected to promote the advanced technology and production models of Shouguang to the world.
