Accordance with Sino-US Cooperation and Efforts in Food Safety and Sustainable Agriculture signed between The People’s Government of Weifang City, Shandong Province, P.R China and UC Davis, on August 17, 2016, Sino-US Food and Agriculture Center of Weifang (hereinafter referred to as “Innovation Center”) held the outreach session of its first board meeting in the East Meeting Room of Fuhua Hotel of Weifang, this is also the initiation meeting of the Innovation Center, the participants of this meeting are World Food Center of University of California, Davis Campus, USA, Weifang Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, Weifang Food Valley Coordination and Promotion Office, Enterprise Section of Weifang Finance Bureau and so on.

This meeting is proposed by Roger·Beacy of UCD World Food Center, Pan Zhongli, the responsible person of China region of World Food Center, the liaison officer of Innovation Center, also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the rules of procedure and operation mechanism were established, the meeting has passed the personnel change proposal for board members, and the work objectives and budget of Innovation Center for 2016 were identified.
